Northern Tourism Growth Fund
NTGF was a £20M investment in tourism by central government, 38 destination partners in the North West, North East, Yorkshire & Humberside, private sector partners, VisitEngland and VisitBritain. We delivered communications support to help the destinations and their partners generate local media and business awareness about the work carried out the benefits accruing as a direct result of the fund. We delivered media releases, and weekly B2B partner newsletters, set up and managed a dedicated Twitter account ‘It’s Great up North’ focused on profile raising among B2B audiences, politicians and business leaders, visiting travel journalists and influencers. We also supported a programme of four high-profile events, including a House of Commons reception.
